The horse agistment farm is merely 20 minutes from Beaudesert which is the heart of the Queensland Thoroughbred breeding industry. Glenlogan Park and Royston Stud are direct neighbours, with Sun Stud just 5 minutes away. Seven major racecourses are within 110 km. These include Eagle Farm, Doomben, Gold Coast, Ipswich, Lismore (NSW), Casino (NSW) and just 20 minutes away is the Beaudesert Racecourse. The drive to the horse agistment farm has scenic valley and mountain views. The area is fittingly known as the Scenic Rim.
The main entrance to the house is off of Oaky Scrub Road, by way of a lovely tree lined driveway. The house was originally a doctor surgery. It was transported and reassembled from the Gold Coast. It is a heritage style Queenslander with all the features of that era, including bespoke stained glass windows, very high ceilings, beautiful polished wood floors and an expansive veranda. The kitchen is a typical country style that opens out into a large family room. There are 4 good sized bedrooms, the master having an ensuite. The main bathroom is well fitted out.
Adjacent to the house is a double carport, behind which is a large shed. Rainwater tanks provide water for the house. The superb scenic valley and mountain views from the veranda are exceptional.
Farm Buildings & Horse Infrastructure
There are laneways throughout the horse agistment farm that link up and separate the 25 paddocks and 18 spelling enclosures. These laneways provide access from both Innisplain Road and Oaky Scrub Road entrances.
At the Innisplain Road entrance are dual purpose yards. There is a large general purpose yard, as well as a smaller yard. These are suitable for both cattle and horses. There is also a cattle race and loading ramp. Behind the yards is a 288 square metre steel hay shed with a high roof line.
The 18 spelling yards have boxes or paddock covers. The fencing is all in good shape and is hot-wired. The high quality pastures on the horse agistment farm are reflective of the mixture of rich alluvial and volcanic soils.
This horse agistment farm suits a variety of equestrian pursuits. Several locations are suitable to build stables and a riding arena.
